Living Word in the Desert is located in Indio Ca, in the Coachella Valley. It truly is a church with a heart for God & a heart for people. LWITD is founded by Pastor Jesse Sanchez. Pastor Sanchez was born in Los Angeles, CA. and at 7 years old his parents moved to the Coachella Valley .  14 yrs of age he started the “Brownstown” gang in Desert Hot Springs. Violence was present in his life at a very young age. By the time he was sixteen he was arrested for attempted murder (later dropped to bodily harm) for stabbing of a rival gang member. His sentence was; Two years in placement and while in placement Chaplin Ruben Morales led Jesse to the Lord at the age of eighteen. A few months later he was released and willingly admitted himself to a Christian mens home, he graduated a year later. On May 27th 1995, he married Allie. In September of 1996 Jesse and Allie purchased their first home which later became our Victory Life women’s home. In 1998 they were commissioned by the Holy Spirit to start pastoring their first church in Cathedral City, CA. They started a church from a house to a storefront to a church building and the rest is history in the making.
